Weight Losing Tips: Step 10

Posted by Saito on February 2, 2009

I have another step for those who wish to lose weight and stay healthy, get plenty of sleep at night.

Asleep

It’s extremely important and necessary for you to get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Your body requires it, NEEDS it. It’s the only time your body can release certain hormones that heal and support your body after a day’s work. Sleep also can help you with your weight problems, it has most definitely for me 😀

Back a few years ago I used to stay up till eleven o’clock at night. Almost every night was like that. I couldn’t help that though, my life was very hectic at that point (school was very stressful as I’m sure you all can relate to). Fortunately I have been able to get out of old habits, and I’m happy with the results.

Having a full eight hours of sleep every night has given me far more energy than I thought I could gain. I’ve made out a schedule for myself, maybe you would be interested in viewing it 🙂

MY DAILY SCHEDULE:

1. I get up at seven in the morning.

2. Get chores over with, minor of course, school comes up next and I have to be there on time…

3. Get through school (trying to stay alive in the process).

4. Come home on the bus.

5. Get homework accomplished and after school chores.

6. It’s normally around six when I’m done with everything. My mom is regularly at home so she has dinner prepared. She tries to keep us consuming a full balanced meal at dinner, typically a pasta or a chicken meal (my family and I are very fond of these kinds of dishes). Along with the chicken or pasta dishes we would have salad and french bread (very essential to a healthy meal)

7. Afterwords we dim the lights in our home (your body has a hormone called cortisol, it helps you get to sleep. It is very sensitive to light and will keep you awake if there are too many lights on around you. So we tend to keep our house lights dim in the evening so we can sleep with ease).

8. Watch a calming movie.

9. Get ready for bed, go to sleep.

It appears to be a bit boring I know, but I’d rather be healthy than unhealthy any day; so I keep to my schedule and it works very well for me. Try to keep a reasonable schedule for your daily routine, put all your efforts toward going to bed on time. You should eventually be rid of your extra weight by sticking to your schedule and gaining the healthy benefits that go along with it.

Stay Away From STRESS: Part 1

Posted by Saito on January 27, 2009

That’s right! If you can, try your best to stay away from stress.

Happy Teens

^ The above image is what we all really want to be, happy and stress free. Now for most of us this is a seemingly impossible goal, its utterly ridiculous that we just can’t seem to escape the one thing that plagues us, STRESS!!

But I’ve had experience in this area, lots of experience. And I have learned that in no matter what situation I’m involved in, I can’t let stress beat me! No matter what I’m faced with!!

But how, how do we do this…I’ll tell you how 😀

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Try to follow these basic rules when stress leaps upon you:

1. Take your situation calmly, let it just slide off your conscious.

2. If you are confronted by someone who is unleashing all their stress on you, simply stop and take three deep breaths. Just stay calm.

3. Close your eyes, flush it all away. You are in charge of your emotions NOT stress!!

4. Think of something good, something you enjoy.

5. Don’t push yourself to do something that is too hard for you, like extra hard labor for example.

6. If you have head phones, put em on. Just chill…

Now there is another reason why I am giving out this advice, it effects your health greatly!

Stress can reek havoc in and out of your body. You can’t sleep at night, you always seem to just not have it in you to get your full nights worth of rest…

Your nerves become shaky, you are afraid to face another situation that may hurt you…

You become shy, you like to stay away from others and care only for your self…

You gain weight, lots of extra unneeded fat…

Then one of the worst side effects of stress is acne, its not fun 😦

Stress is something that continues to plague us all.

We can only do our best, don’t let anyone else tell you that you aren’t good enough!

😀

This Teens Weight Loss Plans Holiday Special: How To Avoid Too Much of Those Tempting Christmas Treats…

Posted by Saito on December 25, 2008

Hey it’s me again, let’s talk Christmas feast here.

When my family and I have a Christmas feast it’s normally sugary and very fatty…but OH so tempting…

I’m sure most of us are faced with the same problem here, so how do you avoid the sugar and maintain a healthy diet?

My suggestion TO YOU would be take your time…what normally happens with these sugary feasts is the urge to eat it ALL. We think aw come on it’s only once a year…but then your hooked on it afterwards “LEFTOVERS” for example. The left overs are a big part in the role of goodies and they could last for WEEKS if not all of January…imagine every day consuming small quantities of extreme sugar every day all because it tastes SOO good…I did and the results were devastating. So this year I’m cutting back, I’ll choose some things I like with others things that are healthier for me and STILL taste good.

For me this year for Christmas dinner it’s roast and baked potatoes ABSOLUTELY fantastic! With it there is going to be apple cider, Champagne (for my parents), sparkling cider, chocolate pudding pie, broccoli, cherry cheese cake and freshly baked scones…and then there are the Christmas stockings there must always be SOME sort of candy treat in them every year…wow that’s a lot all together, I’ll tell you what I’m going to do this year:

1. I’ll take only what I need and not what I don’t

2. I’ll take a small portion of every thing once, then choose more of the goodies that aren’t sugary and fatty

3. I’ll take the time to chew my find food and enjoy the fact I am eating with my family…

If your like me and you DON’T want to gain weight just stick to the same rules here and you’ll be fine :D.

Will post more later when I find out something new =D.
