Aerogarden: The Benefits Of Using an Aerogarden

Posted by Saito on January 19, 2009

Ok its time to introduce the Aerogarden, I’ll explain why.

If you go shopping for groceries at a normal everyday grocery store with your parents or by yourself, you will find some stores that have very poor quality vegetables. In some cases the quality is so bad you don’t even get the proper nutrients from eating the fresh vegetables that you believed you were getting…why?

Unless organically grown, much of our vegetables are grown in soil with very little minerals and nutrients.

My family and I have recently discovered that we are sad victims of poor quality produce even though we were getting good fresh produce. Because of this we are slowly shifting over to the Aerogarden:

When you first look at the picture above, you can see the the successful crop of one Aerogarden. Now that is a pretty good looking crop! It’s full of delicious quality cherry tomatoes that were grown naturally-no strange chemicals or pesticides were used to corrupt those beauties. And that’s why I’m recommending that you switch over to the Aerogarden for healthy produce grown right out of your own home.

Q & A

But how exactly does it work?

The Aerogarden transmits Full Spectrum Grow lights from the Lamp Hood that overlooks the plants. It cuts down considerably the time spent on growing a garden. The other helpful part of the Aerogarden is actually at its base, where you plant the seeds:

In the image above you can see the little domes under the overhanging lamp; that’s where most of the
process begins. The seed you use (like lettuce) grows inside a chamber that has a tropical rain forest-like atmosphere (and check this out, its even better then soil :O). It speeds up the process of plant growth right from the start 😀

And does it only grow cherry tomatoes?

Of course not! With the Aerogarden you can grow multiple kinds of vegetable plants (I’m currently growing lettuce with my sister’s help). It can grow just about anything you want (except for veggies that sprout too high, like corn for example).

But I don’t have a lot of time on my hands, will this become a hassle?

No! No not at all :D. It takes care of itself. The light on the control panel lets you know when you need to change the water or add another nutrient tablet. Completely low maintenance, anyone can have a green thumb with the Aerogarden!

I am really excited about this, I hear from my friends that the vegetables taste soo good. If you have any other questions just post a comment and I’ll be right there to help 😀
