Teen Weight Lifting

First off I think we should start off with the basics, the routines you will be using the most:

1. Bench Press

2. Curls (with free weights)

Curls

Sit down a bench or chair, curl your arm in then lower down to your stretching limit; then lift back up. Try to do three sets of fifteen reps.

3. Crunches

4. Lying Butt Bridge

Lying Butt Bridge

When you lift up squeeze your buttocks muscles then lay back down, repeat till you complete a set of fifteen reps. Do at least three sets of fifteen reps.

5. Lat Pull Downs

Lat Pull Downs

Pull the bar down till it’s behind your back, the gently let it recede back to it’s original rest point. Repeat till you complete a set of fifteen. Do at least three sets of fifteen reps.

6. Shoulder Shrugs

Shoulder Shrugs

Roll your shoulders backwards, you should complete a full circle per roll forwards and backwards. Do three sets of Shoulder Shrugs backwards, then three sets of Shoulder Shrugs forward.

7. Dumbbell Lateral Raises

Dumbbell Lateral Rises

8. Jump Squats

Jump Squats

These are basic workout routines when starting out with weights. Depending on your size and girth with weights only choose the amount of weight you can handle. Start out with lighter weights then move up as your muscles get used to the strain. With every workout you do, even ones without weights do at least three sets. Each set you do try doing at least fifteen reps. If you can, use a back brace when you workout so you’re back is supported.

Well that’s all for the first part, stay tuned for the next update 😀

Weight Losing Tips: Eighth Step

Posted by Saito on January 12, 2009

Check out the latest post called Ninth Step

Well we’ve discussed a healthy balanced diet, now let’s talk about aerobics and exercise.

If your just starting out and have no idea how to start working out, I have a few suggestions for you :D.

1. Take a walk.

Just like that, go out of your home location and walk around your area. It doesn’t need to be very long for starters, just fifteen minutes of your time everyday will help you get you started. When you feel fifteen minutes isn’t enough just increase the amount of time you walk for, and don’t increase to much, just to the point you think you can handle then upgrade again after you feel that it’s still not enough…

2. Start jogging.

After a while you may feel that just walking isn’t enough, you have enough energy to start at another level. Try jogging, just do the same thing you would do before for fifteen minutes everyday. It’s hard but I know you can get used to it :D.

3. Step into basic workouts.

You might now feel very energized at this point, try moving up to basic workouts. Pushups (on your knees if you have to for starters), squats, jumping jacks and crunches are some of the basics…(if you don’t know how to do these basic work outs go on over to this website: <a href=”http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/exercise.asp”>http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/exercise.asp</a&gt;. It will teach you how to do these exercises :D) By the way, when you work out take it easy. You are just beginning and don’t need to tire yourself out so quickly, separate the amount you do per exercise session into three sets of five as a beginning amount.

These are just the beginning steps, stay tuned for the next step :D.
